Its Hina Khan vs Shilpa Shinde, even after Bigg Boss 11
After 15 weeks of fights, gossip and all the drama the television audience witnessed, the most talked about reality show Big Boss 11 concluded last night. And while Shilpa Shinde and Hina Khan were the last contestants racing for the trophy, it was Shilpa who emerged victorious.
Talking about her victory, Shilpa told a daily, “It has been a big journey and a great one. It is still unbelievable. After what I have gone through, this is the perfect answer... I think the way I lived inside that house, the way relationships were made there, I had never imagined such changes in my life.”
Shilpa also feels that it was her fans support that got her all the way to the winning position. “The audience who voted for me despite me singing such a tone-deaf song, I had complete faith in them. I did not think about defeat for a single moment. I had the confidence.”And while Shilpa was on cloud nine with her victory, the runner-up and Shilpa’s arch-enemy on the show Hina Khan who sings well said that it was just a matter of few votes which decided the fate of Shilpa.
“Even though Shilpa is a winner, it doesn’t mean any of us were less competent but maybe the audience loved something particular about Shilpa more and thus she won. Winning Bigg Boss is only a matter of few votes.”
When questioned whether she found the show biased, Hina explained, “I have a brother and I remember I would always tell my parents that they would favour him more than me and similar was what I thought here.”And she sounded a tad unhappy, the television diva quipped, “It is a human behaviour. All of us go through it. But everything is fair in this game. Votes, task everything. Nothing is scripted. The only difference is that because the entire show is only of 45 minutes, the audience doesn’t come to know what happened before or after the conversation most of the time. So, a lot of times our statements get misinterpreted.” She added, “Winning and losing is a part of the game. Earning respect is more important on the show than winning.”
